Reiki Symbols and How They Connect To Higher Levels of Learning

Reiki symbols are the traditional symbols used by Reiki practitioners to assist in healing or moving energy. They are based on the Japanese writing system and can be drawn or visualized. As Reiki practitioners, we intend to call on the power of God, Source, or the Divine by whatever name you call it.

For empaths and highly sensitive individuals, understanding and using Reiki symbols can be a game-changer. These symbols serve as a shield, helping to fortify and safeguard their energy from external influences. A skilled Reiki practitioner can send healing energy to anyone, anytime. In Karen Harrison’s Whole Life Center Reiki Classes, students are introduced to the fundamental symbols and their practical applications. The focus is on the Power, Mental/Emotional, and the Distant Healing Symbol, with the intention of channeling energy for the highest good of all.

  • Power Symbol—This symbol represents chi, the energy transfer throughout the body. The practitioner desires to illuminate, enlighten, or channel the energy into the body.
  • Mental and Emotional Reiki Symbol – We learn how to use Reiki symbols for ourselves, our loved ones, and our pets. The “Sei Hei Ki” or harmony symbol is used to heal mental and emotional problems such as addiction, depression, and anxiety. It desires to balance the mental and emotional aspects of oneself by opening up blocked emotions.
  • Distant Healing Symbol – Awareness of others’ situations increases your sensitivity to their energies. Consider enrolling in a class if you want to learn how to send energy through Reiki symbols. For a relative or friend who is not in the room with you, you can send healing energy to help heal difficult situations like an accident, divorce, or job loss.

Understanding the Reiki symbols is just the beginning of a transformative journey. Through dedicated practice, we learn to harness the power of these symbols. As we channel Reiki energy, we experience a profound connection with the Divine, feeling the healing energy of God. Reiki is not just a theoretical study of the Divine but a tangible experience of its power.
