Feeling Stressed? Here’s How Reiki Healing Can Help

Reiki healing is also known as the soul of the Japanese energy-healing practice. Reiki healing is a form of complementary therapy that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. This practice centers on the idea that a practitioner can channel energy into a patient utilizing touch to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being. Karen Harrison practices Reiki healing and can help you, too!

Reiki healing focuses on the idea that the body has an innate ability to heal itself and that activating this natural healing process can clear physical, emotional, and spiritual imbalances. A Reiki practitioner can send Reiki healing energy at a distance and back or forward in time to heal an issue and manifest good results. A Reiki practitioner uses Reiki healing to consciously direct universal life energy that affects the electromagnetic fields surrounding the person to bring about balance and stimulate their body’s natural healing ability. A person can use this for stress as well!

Reiki healing is often used as a complementary therapy to help manage stress and promote relaxation. Here’s how it can potentially help:

· Relaxation: Reiki promotes deep relaxation, which can help reduce the body’s stress response. By inducing a state of deep relaxation, Reiki may help to calm the mind and body, leading to a reduction in stress and anxiety levels.

· Energy Balance: Reiki works by balancing the energy flow in the body. According to Reiki philosophy, when the energy flow is balanced and restored, it can help alleviate physical and emotional imbalances, leading to a reduction in stress-related symptoms.

· Mind-Body Connection: Reiki works on the body, mind, and spirit as a holistic approach to wellness. By addressing the interconnected nature of these aspects, Reiki may help individuals achieve a sense of inner peace and emotional well-being, thereby reducing the impact of stress on both the mind and body.

· Pain Management: Stress can often manifest as physical discomfort or pain in the body. Reiki helps alleviate pain and promote a sense of comfort, making it a potentially helpful tool for managing stress-related physical symptoms.

· Enhanced Self-Awareness: Reiki sessions can encourage self-awareness and mindfulness. By promoting a sense of introspection and self-reflection, Reiki may help individuals identify sources of stress and develop effective coping mechanisms to manage stress more effectively in their daily lives.

During a typical Reiki session, the recipient lay comfortably, fully clothed on a massage table. At the same time, the Reiki practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the recipient’s body in a series of specific hand positions. The practitioner aims to transfer healing energy through their hands to the recipient, promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and supporting the body’s natural healing ability. Reiki is believed to work on the body, mind, and spirit and is often used to alleviate pain, promote balance, and enhance overall well-being.
