Reiki Master teacher training requires taking the Reiki Master class and receiving the attunements for Reiki Master. A student with Reiki II for a minimum of 6 months is eligible to take the combined Usui/Holy Fire^® Advanced Reiki Training and Reiki Master course. Only Reiki Masters teach and can initiate new Reiki Masters.

Reiki is energy or spiritual healing that reduces stress and promotes healing. In Reiki, there are various levels of study, beginning with Reiki I and II, in which you learn how to give yourself treatments and give someone else a standard treatment. In Reiki II you learn how to use Reiki symbols to amplify your healing energy. You also learn how to scan the body for energy blockages and how to give intuitive treatments guided by your scanning. One of the most important things you learn is sending Reiki at a distance, so you can help your family and friends who don’t live in the same city as you. You will also learn how to send Reiki to crisis situations in the world as well as how to contribute to world peace. These are important skills for today’s world!

Using Reiki for healing the body, mind, and spirit, is a hands-on technique in which practitioners use touch by drawing on Universal lifeforce energy. Because Reiki respects free will, we must invite Reiki in order to experience greater healing. By surrendering one’s will to God and to receive the flow of Reiki energy, a person is rewarded with enhanced awareness which can lead to unlimited possibilities for personal growth, joy, and peace. 

Although a Reiki Master is not required to teach Reiki to others, it does enable you to share the healing energy, symbols, techniques, and knowledge. Further, as a Reiki Master, you can help guide others, and witness their joy as they experience the gentle power of Reiki healing energy for the first time. As one merges with Reiki Consciousness and embraces the healing energy that comes from God, their compassion and love for all are strengthened.

Karen Harrison is a Senior Licensed Reiki Master Teacher with the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) and teaches all levels of Usui/Holy Fire^® Reiki, including Holy Fire Karuna Reiki® Master. She is also Co-Director of the Licensed Reiki Master Teacher Training Program for the ICRT and a Mentor Teacher. In addition to her Reiki practice, she is licensed as a Professional Counselor, and Marriage and Family Therapist.
